Exercise is important for everyone to maintain a healthy life, but for people with a disability or chronic health condition, it can be a challenge to find a place that allows you to be active and reach your full potential. That is why Lakeshore Foundation exists. Lakeshore is a world-renowned organization located in the heart of Birmingham that offers a welcoming environment where you can set and achieve your health and fitness goals. Memberships are available to children and adults with a physical disability or chronic health condition. Family members of eligible individuals who live in the immediate household may also enroll in membership.

Lakeshore also offers FREE memberships to all local veterans with or without a disability and their household family members.

A Lakeshore membership gives you access to our accessible, state-of-the-art facility which includes:

  • Heated indoor Aquatics Center, featuring two pools
  • 6,000 square foot Fitness Center with free-weights, strength training and cardio machines
  • Fieldhouse featuring a three-court gym and indoor MONDO® surface 200-meter track
  • Archery and marksmanship range

Also included in your membership is access to 90+ weekly classes and programs which include:

  • Adult Fitness Classes
  • Adult Aquatics Classes
  • Adult Recreation Programs and Adapted Sports Leagues
  • Youth and Adult Competitive Athletics
  • Youth Recreation and Aquatics Classes
  • Youth Summer Camps

Membership Packages

  • Standard  $50/month – Excludes Aquatics Center Access
  • Premier  $65/month – Includes Aquatics Center Access
  • Youth & Athlete  $55/month – Includes Aquatics Center Access
  • VeteranFree membership for all local veterans and household family with or without a disability. Equal to a Premier membership package. Learn more

Additional household members may be added for $25/adult and $20/child.
