Wheelchair basketball is a sport for individuals with a lower body impairment who meet the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) classification criteria. Our DII division co-ed team, Lakeshore Storm, will begin practicing in September. Our Women’s division team, Lakeshore Lightning, will begin practicing in October. In addition to weekly practices, athletes compete in home, regional and national tournaments. Registration is required. Contact Rob Welty at or 205-313-7457.
