We are excited to welcome you back to Lakeshore! If you are planning your first visit back since March, please acknowledge our member code of conduct, and watch our Welcome Back video of what to expect when you check in.

We are currently in Stage One of our reopening plan. This stage is designed to support social distancing and sanitation guidelines, which require that we limit the amenities and services available. Currently, reservations are only required for Aquatics Center visits. Click the Schedule a Visit button below to make your reservation. Members visiting the Fitness Center and Fieldhouse may come any time during one of our session times.

Stage One Overview 

  • A limited number of members will be allowed in the building at one time to ensure social distancing. No guest passes will be issued.
  • For member safety, no on-site classes will be offered and no towels will be provided. Some equipment has been relocated to the Fieldhouse and Atrium to ensure social distancing.
  • Towels, showers, changing areas, lockers and vending machines will not be available. Assisted dressing rooms will be available.
  • Confirmation of your Aquatics Center reservation must be received before coming to the Lakeshore Campus.
  • Cleaning will take place throughout the day using an EPA-approved disinfectant. The facility will be closed for 30 minutes every two hours for more in-depth cleaning.
  • Members and staff must bring and wear face masks, except in the water.
  • All members and staff will be screened at the main entrance, including a touchless temperature check.
  • All members are asked to commit to following our social distancing plan when using the facility.
  • You will not be able to enter the facility if:
    • You have knowingly been exposed to COVID-19.
    • You have a fever of 100.4 or higher in the last 48 hours.
    • You have shortness of breath, sore throat or coughing.

If you are unable to fill out the online Aquatics Center reservation form you may call 205-313-7400 and select option “1.” If no one answers, please leave your name and contact number. Please note that leaving a message does not confirm your reservation. A membership staff will return your message to confirm.

Some individuals are at higher risk for COVID-19, including those over 65 or with certain health conditions. We encourage you to assess your risk and as always, consult your physician with any questions or concerns about returning to normal activities.

Lakeshore Classes & Programs

While we are not able to provide on-site fitness and aquatics classes at this time, we do have a diverse menu of weekly live online group fitness and land-based aquatics classes and recreation & athletic programs for youth, families and adults.
