Lakeshore is proud to partner with The World Games 2022 to implement A Journey to One World, One Games, an initiative for disability inclusion and access.
The initiative focuses on four strategic priorities:
- Establishing a diverse and representative steering committee
- Creating an inclusive and accessible athlete experience
- Enhancing accessibility and inclusion for fans
- Developing a training and education program for staff, volunteers and partners
In addition to the initiative, Lakeshore Foundation President Jeff Underwood is a member of TWG Birmingham Organizing Committee’s Board of Directors. This partnership represents an opportunity to enhance disability inclusion and access not only for TWG 2022, but it also builds a legacy for future World Games, other sports events and the Birmingham community.
