We are excited to bring you even more ways to stay active and engaged wherever you are with our new member platform, Lakeshore Online Fitness.

With Lakeshore Online Fitness you can

  • Register and attend weekly online fitness classes from home or on the go.
  • Access our ever-expanding library of recorded exercise videos and articles.

What classes will be offered?

Lakeshore Online Fitness offers 10 live classes each week. All classes are open to all adult members, no matter your disability or level of fitness. All exercises can be performed sitting or standing. Instructors provide modifications during class, and you are encouraged to explore any adaptations that feel good to your body and progress at your own pace.

ABCs of Balance
Mondays at 1 p.m. & Wednesdays at 9:45 a.m.
Learn and practice the principles of balance with exercises focusing on your body position, core strength, muscle balance and posture.

Chair Yoga
Tuesdays at 1 p.m.
Using a chair for stability, experience yoga while sitting or standing. Practice includes breath awareness, gentle movement and poses along with relaxation and mindfulness techniques. Explore and progress at your own pace.

Seated Yoga
Thursdays at 9:45 a.m.
Experience all that yoga offers, including breath awareness, gentle movement and poses along with relaxation and mindfulness practice. Explore and progress at your own pace.

Total Body Conditioning
Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays at 1 p.m.
Improve your strength, cardio, balance and flexibility to music in this high-energy workout that targets your major muscle groups.

Upper Body Basics
Mondays & Fridays at 9:45 a.m.
Tone, strengthen, and stretch your upper body with a variety of exercises using light weights, resistance bands, or even household items such as cans or water bottles.

Zumba Gold
Tuesdays at 9:45 a.m.
Move to the music while improving balance, strength, flexibility, and cardiovascular fitness.

FAQs

Does it cost anything to use Lakeshore Online Fitness?
No. Lakeshore Online Fitness is a part of your Lakeshore membership. You just need to create a Lakeshore Online Fitness account.

Does Lakeshore Online Fitness change the way I register and attend in-person classes? 
No. Lakeshore Online Fitness only manages online fitness classes. You will continue to register for in-person classes each week through a registration link on our Member Classes and Programs page or in your Weekly Update e-newsletter.

What is the research component of Lakeshore Online Fitness, and how do I enroll? 
We want to continue to improve the Lakeshore Online Fitness platform and study its effectiveness in supporting your health and fitness goals. So, when you enroll in the research component of the platform, you will be able to provide feedback and in return, receive extra perks and incentives. You will be asked if you would like to participate in research when you create your account. If interested, you will be given screening questions and a series of surveys. You can join the research component at any time by clicking the “Join the Study” button on your Lakeshore Online Fitness home screen.
