Lakeshore is open to members and currently following its COVID-19 Staged Reopening Plan. Click to learn more.

The heartbeat of Lakeshore is our Fitness Center which offers a variety of cardiovascular, strength and functional equipment specifically adapted for individuals with a wide range of abilities and exercise goals.

Are you looking for ways to spice up your workout routine in a fun community environment? Our fitness department offers nine diverse fitness classes for adults at a variety of days and times. These classes range from low impact yoga and T’ai Chi to high intensity Zumba® and Kranking® (an inclusive spin class).

We understand the importance of engaging in physical activity, so a personalized one-on-one session with a fitness specialist is scheduled after joining. Our staff will guide you in establishing an exercise plan based your own goals and specific interests. Personal training services are available at an additional cost for members who desire continued individualized or specialized training.

The Fitness Center is open to youth age 14 and older. We recommend the best point of entry for someone between the ages of 14 and 18 is through our youth aquatics, recreation and athletics programs. All programs have a connection to our Fitness Center and staff and incorporate strength and cardiovascular exercise. For more information on getting started in fitness as a teen, email Fitness Coordinator Josh Van Zandt or call 205-313-7453.
