Operation Perseverance

Operation Perseverance (April 2-6, 2014) is for military personnel who have sustained physical injuries for an introduction to Paralympic sports. Clinics will be led by Paralympic athletes and coaches. All skill levels are welcome. Sports scheduled to be included are Archery, Biathlon, Cycling, Shooting, Sitting Volleyball, Sled Hockey, Swimming, Tennis, Track & Field, Triathlon and Wheelchair Basketball. Sessions on nutrition, strength and conditioning and goal setting will be included.

Qualifying injuries for Operation Perseverance included amputations, burns, disfigurements, visual impairments, spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries. Both veterans and active duty personnel are encourage to apply. Applications are due by February 25, 2014, and space is limited. All applicants will be pre-screened prior to being accepted to this camp.
