Goalball
Goalball is a sport for blind and visually-impaired athletes made up of two teams of three where the object is to get the ball in the opposing team's net, while keeping it out of your own. The ball is about basketball size, but a little heavier, and is equipped with bells to help the competitors locate it. Lakeshore Foundation has a goalball team that is open to blind or visually-impaired youth from ages 10-19 (while still in school). The team practices on Wednesday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
