Adult Fitness Class Schedule

ABC’s of Balance* -An introduction to principles of balance with exercises focusing on body position and postural alignment through core (trunk/abdominal) strengthening, muscle balance and postural awareness.
Participants must be able to stand independently.
Group Exercise Room

Kranking® -An upper body rotational exercise class featuring stationary arm bikes. Participants work at their own intensities, and with a removable seat, the Krankcycle® is accessible to individuals who use a wheelchair or stand. Space is limited, and sign-up is available 30 minutes prior to each class at the fitness desk. Bring a water bottle and a towel because you are sure to sweat. All levels of fitness are welcome.

New Forest T’ai Chi*- Uses slow, gentle movements that are easy to learn and allow for creative, personal expression. Slow motion stepping patterns are combined with arm movements. The initial exercises and routines are very simple but become more complex as the participant gains strength, balance and mental focus. All levels of fitness are welcome.
Group Exercise Room

SilverSneakers® Classic – Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support. All levels of fitness are welcome.
Group Exercise Room

Walk and Roll- An inclusive walking program for individuals who walk independently, use an assistive device or wheelchair for mobility. A fitness specialist facilitates the class instructing and encouraging appropriate posture, pace and gait. Participants log their progress into a program binder. All levels of fitness are welcome.

Yoga – Classic Yoga positions are adapted to meet the needs of the individual. Emphasis is placed on smooth, rhythmical breathing throughout the entire exercise program. Class includes restorative breathing exercises and ends with a relaxation technique. Explore and progress at your pace. Experience overall health benefits, increased flexibility, improved balance, and body awareness. All levels of fitness are welcome.
Group Exercise Room

Zumba® Gold- Consists of a series of easy-to-follow dance moves. The moves focus on improving balance, strength and flexibility, while raising your heart rate and improving cardiovascular fitness. Moves can be performed while standing or sitting. All levels of fitness are welcome.

Zumba® Gold Seated – Similar to the Zumba Gold class, but all movements are specifically design to be performed while sitting.
