Lakeshore’s accessible Fitness Center offers a variety of cardiovascular, strength and functional equipment selected specifically for its adaptability and use by individuals age 14 and older with a wide range of physical abilities and exercise goals.
In addition to the individual fitness opportunities, the fitness department also offers nine distinct fitness classes for adults and a teen fitness class. These diverse classes range from low impact yoga and T’ai Chi to high intensity Zumba® and Kranking® (inclusive spin class). These classes bring community and fun to a daily fitness routine.
The diversity of equipment and classes at Lakeshore provides the opportunity to meet many exercise goals, including: improving aerobic fitness, strength and flexibility; as well as optimizing weight, improving heart health, balance, and the ability to carry out daily functional activities independently.
