Classic Yoga positions are adapted to meet the needs of the individual. Emphasis is placed on smooth, rhythmical breathing throughout the entire exercise program. Class includes restorative breathing exercises and ends with a relaxation technique. Explore and progress at your pace. Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support. All levels of fitness are welcome.
This class includes a warm up, range of motion exercises, strengthening and endurance exercises. Also included are up to 20 minutes of low-to-moderate intensity activities. Lap pool, 45 minutes shallow and 15 minutes deep
